In response to God’s command to reach the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ, God has burdened Cornerstone Baptist Church to begin Greater Works Union Baptist Missions.

John 14:12  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Greater Works Union Baptist Mission is established upon the premise that the Word of God and the promise that Jesus gave to those first century church leaders is still true today.  The Bible record of Acts 13 records the local church sending Paul and Barnabas out from them.  After seeing “greater works” accomplished in their ministry they then returned to give an account to the local church at Antioch.  After a careful study of the pattern of missions found in Acts 13 and 14 we became convinced that we should be responsible for missionaries sent from Cornerstone Baptist Church.  We believe the local church is to provide the support structure and personal accountability to each missionary sent to fulfill the Great Commission.  This responsibility will be effectively achieved by a close relationship with them through sending the missionary, receiving the missionary, caring for their personal and spiritual health, obtaining of property, delegated authority to baptize and start churches, and assisting in financial areas (obtaining insurance, paying bills as needed, receiving support checks, sending tax receipts and the like).
