Passage: Exodus 8:1-12
Service Type:

Bible Text: Exodus 8:1-12 | Preacher: Pastor Bruce Carlson | Series: Determined

Why is tomorrow so appealing?

I remain in control
I feel relief with a plan
I can continue for a little longer
I don’t  have to yet but I am giving consideration to God’s way

1. Moses Represents the Law

We don’t like the law
We don’t like conviction
We don’t like God’s intervention in our lives

2. Grace, Freedom, and Relief  are offered freely.

The law will retreat as soon as it has accomplished its role
The law will be replaced by grace as soon as confession and repentance is offered

3.  Pride was the Ultimate Problem in Pharaoh’s Life

Pride I know better
Pride it might go away
Pride I know the best timing

Tomorrow is a nasty little assertion the devil gives to us to help us feel as if we have made progress yet in reality we have rejected the Holy Spirit’s leadership for our own way a little longer.

Follow those promptings.
Follow those admonitions.
Follow those Biblical mandates
Follow those God has put in place to lead you as they follow the Lord.

Exo 4:5 That they may believe that the LORD God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee.
